Next Season

Right, so lets address the elephant in the room with the new game being on next gen and the majority of people will probably invest in a PS4 before then or get a PS4 when F1 is out.

I think to cater everyone we'll do another season on PS3 while having a PS4 league at the same time, but after the season is finished we will make the full transition to PS4.

Post below and give your opinions on this.

We should push ahead with our original plan as discussed to move the leagues into a phase of transition from the PS3 into the PS4... any remnants should be put together in a PS3 league if they're lucky... this is the way forward... I envision most whom can't afford to get one now will get one at Christmas.

This isn't an opinion but fact... you all know this to be truuuuuuuuuue!

Obviously yes we can cater to PS3 racers during the transitional phase whilst the numbers are there to manage it but ultimately we will have to set a point where this is a PS4 league and phase out any PS3 remnants.

I would have a season of PS3 and PS4 running together and see how it goes after that. Depending on how many people make the jump could maybe phase out one of the AL leagues and consolidate them, but that would require a hefty number of people making the jump together, and honestly I can't see there being more than one leagues worth of players on PS4 at launch.

Based on the fact not everyone has a PS4 I guess running both would be the best solution otherwise you may be turning loyal members into the hands of other leagues.

Personally, I can't face another season on the current game as it's getting boring after almost a year on it so it will be a PS4 league that I would be looking to join.

I mean, if there are people that aren't planning on upgrading to a PS4 anytime soon, but want to keep racing, we could maybe arrange for them to run a PS3 league. Find a trustworthy mod, brief them on how things go down etc, just to make sure that they have somewhere to race.

I mean, that's better than turning people away to other leagues that might otherwise have a PS3 section still floating around. It's pretty much my job to sort that stuff anyway, so if it comes to it I'll make it happen so that as many people are accommodated as possible.
