New football season

So anyone who has remotely glanced at my twitter page (@John_Tallboy if anyones interested  ) will know I am just as passionate about my football as I am about motorsport or gaming. This is despite Liverpool's exodus from the Champions League in recent years and me spending one too many cold Saturday afternoons in the back of the terrace at Edgar Street watching a sub-standard Hereford United performance.

So I thought with the Football League and Scottish Football League starting yesterday and the Premier League coming back soon I thought I would open a thread where we can talk about the season as a whole and the teams we support. Be warned though if anyone says they support Chelsea I will reach through my laptop and slap you!

im a true man utd fan but i cant see us winning the season this year. I think arsenal will be the surprise team this year

it pains me to say it but i think city will win the title and i think we'll finish 3rd i've been quite frustrated with moyes and his hopeless pursuit of fabregas and i feel he'll be forced into a panic buy and sign felliani

United fan, i agree with moody. I believe united will win a cup and they have to for moyes's sake. Champions league is a must next season. I believe with city's and chelsea's signings so far they will easily be the top 2. Im surprised moyes hasnt gone after a striker seeing as rooney is unhappy and i wouldnt reject 40 million for a striker out of form.

As my cousin has now signed a professional contract to our hometown football club, Rochdale. And after looking at their pre-season form and after beating Hartlepool 3-0 in the first game of the season.

I'd like to think that the dale should be getting back up to league 1 again, especially with legend Keith Hill managing again. Watch our for number 30!

As a massive Juventus fan I can't wait for the start of Serie A. The new Llorente-Tevez partnership already seems mouthwatering, reminds me a bit of the Del Piero-Trezeguet days!
With Pirlo supplying the ball to the new boys up top, I believe we're massive Champions League contenders this season. Forza Juve!

Who do you think will be the biggest transfer of the summer transfer window?

I think suarez and liverpool will end up going to court, can't really see any bid names moving, maybe luiz to barcalona?

Suarez owes Liverpool a lot and is behaving like a massive child. I could see Rooney going abroad though.
