Barcelona Test Day 1 Empty Barcelona Test Day 1

Post by McDASTARDLY-00- Thu Feb 19, 2015 6:00 pm

Testing started today at a very cold Circuit de Catalunya & what a day it was, Hamilton had to leave the circuit due to illness & Rosberg had a sore neck which allowed Pascal Wehrlein into the W06 in the afternoon session, lucky lad had already been out in the Force India in the morning but couldn't beat his earlier lap time.
Wolff & Nasr have a collision between T4 & T5, the former on a slow lap & the latter on a hot lap, not seen it yet so we'll hold fire on who's fault 'till later.
Surprise surprise, poor old JB manages a mind blowing 21 laps before retiring the McLaren Honda, a broken seal in the MGU-K unit means a complete change of the power unit, day over.

1. Maldonado, Lotus, 1.25.001, 69 Laps
2. Raikkonen, Ferrari, 1.25.167, 74 laps
3. Ricciardo, RedBull, 1.25.547, 59 laps
4. Perez, Force India, 1.26.636, 34 laps
5. Nasr, Sauber, 1.27.307, 79 laps
6. Verstappen, Toro Rosso, 1.27.900, 94 laps
7. Button, McLaren Honda, 1.28.182, 21 laps
8. Wehrlein, Force India, 1.28.329, 32 laps
9. Wehrlein, Mercedes, 1.28.489, 48 laps
10. Wolff, Williams, 1.28.906, 86 laps
11. Hamilton, Mercedes, 1.30.429, 11 laps.
