Re: Great Britain Line Up
There were reasons for my lack of pace. In Brazil i had left my ABS on from a heavy rain race the night before & i didnt realise i left it on & wondered where my pace had gone during the dry stints of the race as i'm a few tenths quicker with it off & when it got to pitting for the wet tyres & putting my ABS on i then discovered it was already on & as i had a big gap to CHM i chose to run manual gears as practice to the end getting myself lapped. As for Suzuka, the day before i had stopped using automatic for good & obviosly ran manual the whole race but it was constant mistakes with the car going off at the 2nd Degna & hairpin & twice damaged my wing at the Dunlop curve inside wall through loss of traction that got me sent almost a lap down.

Making mistakes when ditching auto is expected. When I first ditched auto in january I was always selecting reverse, neutral or missing gears. took me a good couple of weeks (and some youtube track guides) to get used to manual properly. I experienced a similar problem with ABS, but stuck a soft ball under the brake pedal to counter most of the lockups. Obviously on the pad you can't do that.
