Marussia to use Ferrari engines, gearboxes in F1 2014 season

Marussia has confirmed it will use Ferrari engines when the new 1.6-litre V6 turbocharged power units are introduced at the start of next season. I think this is a key part in bringing Marussia to the midfield. Don't get me wrong Cosworth have great engines and gearboxes but it's not on the scale of a Ferrari or a Mercedes. If Catheram stay with Renault I think the back of the grid in 2014 will be very competitive and I think Sauber will be down there too.

Going to Ferrari engine's will definitely make them more competitive, if Catheram move to a different supplier too, I don't think they'll be any distinct back of the grid runner's, with turbo engine's too, they could see themselves gaining a point with people retiring.
