Following a dramatic start to this year’s FORMULA ONE™season and just in time for the second round at the Malaysian Grand Prix we’re pleased to finally share with you some details on the official game of the 2015 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™.

F1TM 2015is launching in June and you’ll be able to play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As we’ve confirmed previously the game has been built on an all new version of EGO tailored to deliver the ultimate FORMULA ONE videogame experience and act as a significant step forward in the game’s visuals and physics-based handling model.

The new model delivers enhancements and additions in over 20 areas including engine and transmission, aero dynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and most notably a brand new tyre physics model – creating a truly breathtaking and realistic representation of how these cars handle on the track.

Found some info regarding the new game so thought I would share it, no doubt a lot of you may have already seen it.

I think they've got rid of Career Mode Pagey, or at least I know that you can't do a Career Mode as yourself.. (according to Tiametmarduk anyway), and in Championship mode, it's basically like in some of the older F1 games, like Championship Edition in 2006 where you do a season as a driver... but tbh, It's not going to put me off at all xD

There's still a career mode. At least there's Pro Career Mode, no assists, cockpit only, no HUD 100% weekend etc. No idea about a normal one.

Looks like 2015 is 16 player multiplaye races again.

Multiplayer, a key aspect has also been given the once over. Next-gen power has allowed Codemasters to put 16 players in a race and fill the grid up with AI. Players can also search for sessions while they’re doing something else – only to be dropped into a session when there’s the right amount of racers.

I'm surprised that the grid isn't larger, I.e. maybe 18 or 20 online runners considering the next-gen consoles have more power, but whatever. Does anyone have an idea when the leagues will be running on 2015?

Servers are yet to handle 16 plus players in general including Project Cars as they have not advanced forward like gaming has sadly

As for when leagues will start, we have generally started them at least 4 weeks after release, but it could be upto 6 weeks to get everyone ready & leagues sorted as i expect record numbers to join the site as people who havnt bought F1 since 2010/11 when Codemasters last sold the most copies will surely buy this latest edition.

Project Cars has well over 20 cars in multiplayer, has done for like 2 years or more. That's kind of rubbish too about the servers, BF4 on PS4 has 64 player games. There's no reason at all why 2015 couldn't have 22 cars in a race online. They've even said that they can fill the rest of the grid up with the AI. It's probably a limitation of the engine, it is afterall still EGO, which is like 7 years old or something.

But yeah, what Stevo said, about a month after release depending on numbers. I'm sure lots of friendlies will be hapening before that too.

Your right Marc, Project Cars does have over 20 online players in an online lobby, 32 infact but on PS4 & Xbox1 they have just 16 online players & as for Codemasters Ego engine is new from the ground up, but i think racing games have not advanced due to their high refresh rate when cars are moving at high speed unlike first person shooters where your character is only moving at running speed at most so Battle Field 4 can have up 64 online players.

It isn't completely new, it's still a highly modifed version of the current engine. Refresh rate has nothing to do with it either, BF4 runs at 60fps on PS4 and has vehicles That shouldn't effect net code either, that just determines how smoothly the game runs, whether it's at 30 or 60 it doesn't effect how much data it's necessary to transfer to make online work.

There doesn't seem to be any real reason for the locking it into 16 player online, probably to limit stress on the hardware, PS4 being a 4-5 year old PC in that department. We all know how much slowdown/frameloss there is on the current F1 games when there's a lot of cars on the screen. It's somewhat strange though, that only the 64 bit version of install allows 30+ online players, where as the 32 bit doesn't (on PC obviously) So I'm wondering if the consoles run on 32 bit architecture, which is limiting it. Just a thought, I wonder if there's going to be some Q&A with devs at any point where it could be raised.

Shame anyway, I was hoping to get some really big races on PS4.

Delayed until July 10th. Does look like it's shaping up quite nicely, though. Bahrain and Singapore in particular look really nice judging by that.

3 weeks before the game an no news/gameplay at all.. yeah, was always going to be delayed.

Not even particularly bothered, Project CARS is going to be keeping me entertained for a few months yet at least.

Dat gameplay tho. Looks alright. Graphically quite nice. Still haven't got decent steering animtion though, and what's with that wheel dash? At least it's authentic-ish wheels this time >_>

absolutely hate the circular gear ratio!!! nothing like the real F1 and yeah they definitely need to improve the wheel motion

Looks no pad traction control again. Good.

The grid looks nice, safety car, tv crew etc, replacing the sitting in pits section. That guy holds a wheel well awkwardly though.

This is legit. And it looks bloody good as well.

Aye that looks tasty. Wheel animations seem to be better on a wheel. Or at least when someone who isn't a total potato is driving. Mexico seems like it's a nice track too, that stadium section looks good. There's a wet Spa video floating around that I'm going to try and find too.

Direct feed gameplay by someone who can actually drive for once. I am impressed. Doesn't look visually as nice as PCars, but it's still pretty impressive, Singapore especially. Gettoing pretty stoked!
