Australian Daniel Ricciardo has a chance to stake his claim for a Red Bull seat next year at this week's 'young driver' test at Silverstone.

Ricciardo, who races for Toro Rosso, will drive for Red Bull on Thursday as part of a tyre-testing programme. He and Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen are vying for the seat left vacant by Mark Webber's decision to leave Formula 1 at the end of the season.

If Ricciardo makes a good impression, it could swing the decision his way, your thoughts?

I'm sure if given the opportunity Red Bull will want to keep their appointment in house good a driver as Kimi is. Ricciardo is less likely to rock the boat in the flagship team and fair play to him he seems to be finding his form at the perfect time.

I heard Dietrich was very impressed with Riccardo's performance with his test in the Red Bull and I think he will be the second to graduate from the Red Bull youth programme.
