Season 8 Start Date and Test Race

There will be a test race at Bahrain during the daytime on Wednesday 15th March at 7:45pm It will be a full race with all the rules set to how they would be for the normal races.

The season will then start proper a week later on Wednesday 22nd March at 7:45pm in Australia.

Hi guys just to let you know I've upgraded my internet so it should be upto 5 times faster, so hopefully I can upload AL2 highlights faster to W2WR site faster too.
The only thing is this is happening on the 21st of March which is the day before we start AL1 season 8, hopefully it will be all up and running by midnight so I may miss the first race if it's not up and running in time but should be all good.

I do have one wish or hope if you like, that we reduce the chatting during races. Normally I would be for a fully non-chatting race, but if people want the "lines open" I hope we can reduce the chatter to short messages only. On my headset I can turn down the volume on the chat, but that also kills the volume on my engineer... And I dont want to turn him down....
Also, if we could please not spend half the race seeing written chat messages pop up every 5 seconds that would also be good! If someone has something to complain about, please write a message to the stewards for the post-race, or atleast send our message privatly to the other person, not to us all.....

You can set in the game options, your engineer to come through the TV as well as your headphones, as well as get subtitles so that you never miss what they say. It's what I do when I'm keeping it quiet.

I can't race with sound from the tv because of kids sleeping, so all sound is in headset (Playstation headset) and it has the option of muting/turndown volum on chat but that also turns down Jeff....

You can 'mute all' in lobby, guaranteed silence then I agree there shouldn't be chat in quali anyway & if anyone crashes/retires during the race can they stay out of the PSN chat 'till after the race please. Thanks.

Dont want to 'mute all' because I want the ability to hear if anyone have a short important message or comment, but when it becomes loose chatter lap in and lap out then its annoying....
I've raced alot with VRroom and there no voice and written messaging during races is allowed. The lobby owner acts as a marshal and is the only one how can make statements during the race....
