Re: Singapore GP Results
Quali - P1
A pretty nerve wracking lap on its own never mind under OSQ conditions, made a few small errors in the lap but glad to keep my pole record going haha.
Race - DNF Crashed lap 49
Absolutely gutted, had some great action in the first half of the race after stupidly spinning out of the lead in the opening lap and made some cool overtakes which were only made thanks to very clean driving from everyone I raced closely with.
After that it became a two horse race between me and UD and we were both on very different strategies and I was hoping to snatch it from him in the final stint whilst he tried to make his prime tyres last - 19 laps on primes just wow, well done - but I lost my front wing on my inlap and being too eager to make up for lost time I understeered straight into the f*****g LG pit wall.
I've started over 30+ 100% races on F1 2012 and this is the first one I have terminally crashed out of, can't believe it.

Quali-
Lap was pretty decent but a scrapy last sector cost me potentially 3rd. Started 5th with my team mate alongside, not bad at all.
Race-
I think it's fair to say Singapore defeated virtually everyone apart from UD, Crank and somehow myself lol.
Got a good start off of the line and was challenging Lii4M and Crank into turn 1 and 2. Lii4M squeezed me a bit exiting turn 2 meaning I had to get off of the throttle to avoid smacking the armco. Under braking into turn 3 Lii4M moved across from middle to left, meaning I had to steer out of the corner and unfortunately made contact with Liam's Ferrari spinning us both in the wrong direction (sorry again for that buddy). I slowed to yield the position back which therefore put me last. I started to catch the pack back up and overtook my team mate and Stub. Then my team mate binned it on lap 3 which I think brought out the safety car. I pitted during the SC to get rid of the options and took to the track again. The race was so mentally challenging I can't remember much else, apart from a great battle with Crank when just as I told myself 'take it easy don't do anything stupid' I lost the rear and swipped my front wing off. End of battle with Crank. The pack were dropping like flies so it turned into a 5 car race for the large part.
Myself and RDS were on differing strategies and fighting for 4th. He pitted, came out behind me and destroyed his car a few laps later. Once the happened I backed off the pace big time as I was happy with the points for 4th and didn't think pushing for no reason was a viable option. So, for the remaining 22 laps I was very lonely. Jonneh sadly crashed with I think 5/6 laps remaining which fluked me onto the podium.
A very tough race indeed and am very pleased with my 3rd place even if a large element of luck was involved. However, the important thing was to finish the race as I knew there was a high possibility of a lot of cars failing to finish.
