Korea Appeals Empty Re: Korea Appeals

3min 45secs
stewards opinion;
slight lunge by barwell, initially I thought goodhead caused the collision but I see after reviewing the footage another car may have been involved.
recommendation,no further action taken due to lack of evidence of who the driver was that spun godhead.if more video comes to light feel free to post an appeal
6min 42ses
daveh vs goodhead
6 of 1 half a dozen of the other? This one is for fia.was dave heading down a gap that wasn't there,he did veer onto the grass and back on track.or did goodhead defend too late?i think the gap may have been there but dave over compensated when he realised he was on the grass.
10min 50secs
short leg vs barwell
stewards apprieciate you waiting for barwell after causing the spin.no further action to be taken

This is an issue I would like fia to talk about with dave from al2,i felt there was a little lack of disrespect while I was stewarding, early on in the race I asked dave to be careful as one move seemed to be a bit of a lunge which he bluntly replied no it wasn't,i reviewed that footage and I still feel the same.his move was well controlled but if the driver had made the apex contact would have been made.my main problem was towards the end of the race I asked dave to let cars by who were lapping him who were fighting for the podium and his first response was no im not, eventually he did let them through.

Korea Appeals Empty Re: Korea Appeals

The 3:45 one isn't goodhead, it's me (although the sauber going past at the end is goodhead). There was also no other car involved, what happened is that Barwell surprised me with the (slightly cheeky) move and I was too busy watching him and lost the rear, partly because I was experimenting with a weaker TC setting. It was therefore entirely my fault and I have apologised to Barwell. Afterwards he got away ahead of me and wasn't sure whose fault it was and let me past. I then allowed him back past again to show him that it was my fault.

Korea Appeals Empty Re: Korea Appeals

Looking back I had quite an eventful race, shame my 5 pitstop strategy didnt pay off! No

I had a great view of the 3min 45secs `coming together` but im happy to say I wasnt directly involved in that one. - thanks to RosstheIcon for clearing that up.

Regarding the 6min 42ses incident, I didnt feel it was my error at the time and after reviewing the footage several times i still dont feel it was my fault. I clearly move to the right of the track way before the corner and left loads of room to the the left. In my opinion the gap wasnt there, hence two wheels on the grass during the manoeuvre.

All the same, I enjoyed the battle Dave.

Korea Appeals Empty Re: Korea Appeals

Post by S007PS Sat Feb 15, 2014 6:49 pm

Had an issue towards the end of the race when trying to pass a Mclaren ,who at the time was a lap down from myself. Initially the Mclaren passed me on the DRS zone, the driver then proceeded to race on , ignoring the fact he had just overtaken a car a lap ahead of him?!! WTF!! ..  Despite this he had chances to allow me to pass in the next sectors, BUT it seemed he didnt want too (almost as if he was actually racing me for position at the time?)...  I expressed my feelings to the steward who requested the driver to ease off..when he finally & reluctantly allowed me to pass after a lap..

I dont feel this really cost me in terms of final position this time, BUT as Rob stated this is for the FIA to discuss..& more of a statement to go with what Rob was concerned about so something like this doesn't happen again..

On another note its nice to see at this stage of the season some drivers being able to sort out altercations between themselves out on track..

Korea Appeals Empty Re: Korea Appeals

Post by Guest Sat Feb 15, 2014 11:10 pm

At that time I was on fresh rubber, I was homing in on the dude in front of me, I managed to close a 30 sec gap to less then 7 secs, so that's why I made a decision to overtake soops, I felt I was quicker then soops at that time, and he was holding me up. I could not maintain speed and he was outright quicker than me. So I let him pass which was always was my intention,I got hit by new guy just over half way, which messed up my race, felt hard done by and I have no footage of. I wanted that 7th place! it's my competitive instinct, and I'm sure any real driver would do the same. Enjoyed battle with goodhead until the incident.
