MY SINGAPORE DECISION

After much thought I have come to a decision that will affect the outcome of last night singapore grand prix! After I had some crashes I was 2nd place and over a whole one minute behind barwell who was leading the race with around 15laps to go! Somebody crashed and caused a safety! After the safety car I pulled out a 5second lead over barwell but he pitted for new tyres and I eventually had a 30second lead with around 12laps left! Barwell then showed fantastic pace to get within a second of me going into the final lap! Unfortunately he wasn't able to pass me and finish I think one second behind! However as I got a penatly earlier in the race for an incident that wasn't my fault the steward(F1 Stevo) said if I appealed the penalty would more than likely be taken away therefore I would retain my 1st place! As much as I would like to keep this win I feel barwell deserved to win the race more than me for his amazing race pace! I shall therefore not be appealing my 10second penaltyand would like to now congratulate barwell on his win at singapore:)

That's a big decision. As I said during the race I felt barwell deserved the win and it was robbed from him.

Sportmanship at it's highest level.

Good decision & Great sportsmanship shown that I hope is echoed around this site/ community etc . Although winning is nice turning up , racing fair & having fun is so much more important . Well done madman on a brave decision

Thanks for all the nice comments guys but I've actually decided to change my mind once again and now appeal my penalty as I want the win badly!!!! Sorry barwell

Youve made this whole site very proud of you Madman for your true sportsmanship well done mate!

After your heroics im going to speak to Admin about the site introducing a special badge system (like a blue peter badge lol) where drivers can earn one or several different levels of badges that can be earned through different levels of sportsmanship.

That's a good idea Steve. Good sportsmanship should always be highlighted and rewarded.

nice 1 madman, don't c u much on track unless ur lapping me     & im happy 4 barwell seeing as I nearly turned him in2 pancake, Ferrari seemed 2b like a red rag 2 a bull (pardon the pun) round Singapore for me, well done top 3.
